Job Description
Aquent is collaborating with a leading healthcare organization that is deeply committed to delivering exceptional patient care and pioneering health solutions. This organization plays a vital role in promoting community well-being with a mission rooted in accuracy, efficiency, and compassionate service. Recognized for its innovative approach to healthcare, the organization strives to ensure that every patient interaction is handled with professionalism and care, ultimately enhancing the overall patient experience and operational effectiveness.
This role is a pivotal position within the healthcare organization, focusing on the patient registration and financial processing functions which are essential for seamless healthcare delivery. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for accurately capturing vital patient information, verifying insurance eligibility, securing necessary documentation, and facilitating financial arrangements such as co-payments and deposits. By performing these duties with precision and empathy, you will directly influence patient satisfaction and help maintain the smooth functioning of clinical operations. This position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and requires working on a W-2 basis without sponsorship or contract alternatives such as C2C or 1099.
In this role, your responsibilities will encompass managing the comprehensive patient admission and registration process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as EMTALA law and internal policies. You will be expected to maintain a high level of security and confidentiality regarding patient valuables and sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA standards. Additionally, you will scan and file important documents into the electronic document management system daily and use online systems to verify insurance and demographic data efficiently. The ability to handle high-volume periods gracefully, prioritizing tasks to balance quality with operational demands is key.
Collaborating closely with fellow registration staff, clinical teams, ambulance agencies, and law enforcement will be essential to foster a cohesive and efficient work environment. You will contribute to a supportive team culture, offer assistance where needed, and demonstrate autonomy by producing high-quality results independently. Your customer service skills will be critical in all patient interactions, including obtaining clinical authorizations for patient visitors and distributing privacy notices. Your role will also involve actively participating in department meetings, training sessions, and workshops to stay current with evolving practices and regulations.
By joining this healthcare organization through Aquent, you will be part of a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and professional growth. You will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in patient care from the moment a patient walks through the door. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with strong communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a demanding and sensitive environment. Overall, this job represents a valuable chance to contribute meaningfully to community health while advancing your career in a supportive and dynamic setting.
