The General Manager (GM) position at Blue Water Hospitality is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the full management and operation of upscale campground and RV Resort properties. This professional, full-time role requires a dedicated individual with the ability to strategically lead and oversee every aspect of the property, including the lodging, amenities, staffing, and guest services. The GM will report directly to upper management and carry the responsibility for ensuring top-tier guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This position entails guiding and motivating a diverse team by embracing best practices in recruitment, coaching, training, and performance management. The GM will ensure proper staffing, efficient scheduling, and compliance with employment laws and corporate policies. On the guest service front, the General Manager acts as the on-site ambassador, engaging with guests, resolving issues quickly, and upholding the highest standards of property cleanliness, maintenance, and visual appeal. Furthermore, the GM coordinates closely with the Revenue Generation team to maximize profitability through dynamic pricing, targeted promotions, and creative marketing initiatives.
Financial management is another crucial aspect of this role, with responsibilities that include budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and comprehensive financial reporting. The GM will also oversee capital expenditures and significant projects to maintain the property’s aesthetics and functionality aligned with corporate goals. Physical requirements for the position include the ability to perform site inspections and problem-solving tasks on-site, which may require standing, walking for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and navigating varied terrains and weather conditions. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience in tourism or hospitality
- Required 3-5 years experience in RV campground management
- Preferred food and beverage experience
- Preferred Safe Serve certification
- Required budgeting, forecasting, and P&L experience
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, lifting 25-45 pounds, climbing stairs
- Ability to work irregular hours in a 24/7 hospitality environment
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to use technology and software systems proficiently
- Strong leadership qualities
- Willingness to adapt and manage multiple projects
- Reliable and punctual attendance
Job Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality management, or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of tourism or hospitality leadership experience
- 3-5 years of RV campground experience required
- Food and beverage experience preferred
- Safe Serve certification preferred
- Budgeting, forecasting, and profit and loss experience required
- Experience in event planning and execution is a plus
- Proficient in computer software, sales tracking, CRM tools, and social media
- Experience managing payroll and employee lifecycle using automated systems
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and lead others

Job Duties
- Provide outstanding leadership to drive and motivate the team
