Job Requirements

  • Ability to understand guests' needs and respond proactively, courteously, professionally and efficiently
  • excellent telephone etiquette
  • ability to read, write and speak English with good diction
  • basic computer, typing and fax machine knowledge
  • ability to recognize, pronounce and locate names, telephone and room numbers
  • multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment
  • prior customer service experience
  • high school diploma or GED or equivalent

  • dependable, self-motivated and adaptable
  • formal education in social sciences and/or healthcare preferred
  • customer service management experience preferred
  • fully bilingual in English and Spanish or other listed languages preferred

Job Duties

  • Provides a consistently high level of service and satisfaction to patients and guests
  • answers phone using excellent telephone etiquette
  • responds to requests in a courteous, professional and efficient manner
  • promotes a caring work environment courteous, thoughtful and supportive of co-workers
  • uses computer skills to assist guests, patients, and healthcare team with appropriate information
  • participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives
  • maintains up-to-date and thorough knowledge of hospital locations and phone numbers
  • follows all policies and procedures
  • performs other specialty services and duties as requested to ensure smooth operation of entrance/lobby and patient experience
  • interacts appropriately with children to help them feel at ease
