Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Adjunct Instructor for its Hospitality / Culinary Management Program located at its East Chicago campus. This part-time adjunct position offers an hourly pay rate of $47.35 per contact hour and involves teaching specialized courses such as Basic Food Theory and Skills, Soups, Stocks, and Sauces, as well as Meat and Seafood Fabrication and Classical Cuisine and Pastries. The Adjunct Instructor role plays a pivotal role in delivering quality education that adheres to the college’s curriculum and departmental standards. Responsibility falls on the instructor to maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that develops and nurtures students’ culinary talents and theoretical knowledge, preparing them for future employment within the broad Hospitality field.

The selected Adjunct Instructor will be accountable for delivering lessons as per the established curriculum guidelines, assessing student progress, and ensuring all instructional and assessment standards are met with precision. Collaboration with the Program Chair and other faculty members is essential to align course objectives with student outcomes, maintain accurate academic records, and utilize modern instructional technology including Microsoft Word and Excel.
