The role of Hospital Manager of Patient Experience is a pivotal leadership position designed to cultivate a culture of compassion and service excellence that excites and delights patients and their families. This individual will be responsible for implementing innovative strategies to improve patient satisfaction and strengthen the hospital's brand reputation. Reporting to a senior executive leader in Quality and Patient Experience, the manager will collaborate closely with Nursing, Ancillary Services, Case Management, and Medical Staff leadership to align service standards with broader hospital goals.
Key responsibilities include driving purposeful rounding, leading service recovery efforts, managing complaint and grievance resolution, analyzing HCAHPS and Press Ganey metrics, and fostering staff coaching and recognition. The role is supported by a diverse and multilingual healthcare team that values empathy, cultural humility, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The Hospital Manager will also spearhead Lean Six Sigma-informed process improvements to enhance the patient experience systematically. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare management or patient experience roles
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in data analysis related to patient satisfaction metrics
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural humility
- Flexibility to work within a hospital setting and adapt to dynamic environments
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field
- Proven experience in patient experience management or healthcare leadership
- Strong analytical skills including familiarity with HCAHPS, Press Ganey, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage diverse teams
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary collaboration and foster a culture of empathy and cultural humility
- Previous experience in service recovery and complaint resolution is preferred
- Knowledge of acute-care hospital operations and quality improvement frameworks
