The position carries a prospective salary range from $83,927 to $113,549, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual considerations.

The Activity Security Representative plays a critical role in sustaining the security posture of the organization and its facilities. Key responsibilities include conducting rigorous classification reviews of inbound and outbound correspondence, maintaining document accountability databases, processing classified mail, and coordinating destruction of classified materials in compliance with regulatory requirements. The role also entails managing magnetic media accountability, reproduction support for classified content, and maintaining detailed administrative logs related to document control.

In addition, the representative facilitates data transfers, coordinates visitor access, manages facility entry systems including badge preparation and access control, and performs entry and exit inspections to ensure compliance with security standards. The role further extends to supporting personnel security functions by maintaining security files, processing clearance activities, facilitating security education programs, and participating in Special Access Program nominations and compliance inspections.

Candidates should bring a minimum of three years of related experience, with mandatory SAP experience, and a bachelor’s degree is desirable (where a bachelor’s degree counts as four years of experience and an associate’s degree counts as two years of experience). Security certifications such as the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) can also count as experience. The incumbent must complete the DoD SAPCO-approved SAP Nomination Process training if assigned personnel security duties.

This is a pivotal security role that demands thorough knowledge of applicable policies, standards, and operational procedures within the national defense context. GDIT offers this position with comprehensive benefits, including flexible work weeks, 401(k) with company match, health and wellness packages, opportunities for professional growth, access to cutting-edge technology, and generous paid vacation and holidays.
