Job Description

GDIT (General Dynamics Information Technology) is a global technology and professional services company that provides cutting-edge solutions and mission-critical services to the U.S. government, defense, and intelligence agencies. With a workforce of over 26,000 experts worldwide, GDIT demonstrates its commitment to innovation by implementing advanced technologies in AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software development. Operating in more than 50 countries, GDIT serves a vital role in supporting national defense, security, and government operations, working closely with various government sectors to ensure mission readiness and success.

The Activity Security Representative role at GDIT is a pivotal position focused on providing multi-disciplined security support to customers’ facilities and organizations, specializing in managing Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. This position involves day-to-day oversight and execution of security responsibilities that are essential for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified information. The role entails classification reviews, document control, processing of classified mail, handling magnetic media, and destruction of classified materials to ensure compliance with stringent security protocols.

This position demands a seasoned professional with at least 3+ years of related experience and specific expertise in Special Access Programs. Responsibilities extend to maintaining accountability databases, performing entry and exit inspections, escorting visitors, managing personnel access records, and supporting the implementation of security awareness and education programs. The representative also plays a key role in security clearance processing, participating in security compliance inspections, and preparing and reviewing program access requests.

Given the sensitive nature of the work, the role requires a Secret Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph. A Bachelor's degree is desired, but equivalent experience or certifications such as the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) or Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) may be considered. Training and ongoing professional development are emphasized, including completion of Department of Defense SAPCO approved training for personnel security functions.

The position offers a full-flex work week, allowing employees to balance their priorities between work and home life. GDIT supports its employees with a 401K plan with company match, comprehensive health and wellness packages, internal mobility programs to foster career growth, paid education and certification opportunities, access to cutting-edge technologies, and extra paid vacation and holidays to recharge. Salary ranges from $83,927 to $113,549, depending on experience and location.

GDIT's commitment to security and identity verification necessitates a robust hiring process, including biometric and AI-based identity checks during virtual interviews. As a leading defense contractor, the company ensures all new hires meet strict eligibility and security standards, including U.S. citizenship and appropriate security clearances. Joining GDIT means becoming part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to safeguarding national security while advancing the careers of its professionals through innovation and support.
