The position of Resident Experience Director at Sinceri Senior Living is pivotal in maintaining the vibrant social and activities environment within their communities. This role involves comprehensive oversight of the Activities Department, ensuring that daily programming aligns with the standards and guidelines established by the company while being tailored to meet the evolving interests and needs of residents. The Resident Experience Director plays a critical role in designing and executing diverse activities programs that promote physical, cognitive, and social well-being among residents. This includes everything from physical activities and creative expressions to cognitive stimulation, lifelong learning, social programs, spiritual opportunities, and community outreach initiatives.
In addition to program development, the Resident Experience Director manages budgets, schedules, and staff, fostering an engaging and inclusive environment. The position requires developing monthly calendars and newsletters, supervising programming staff, recruiting and training volunteers, and collaborating with healthcare staff to integrate resident care and wellness into daily activities. The Director also contributes to the broader community management team, supporting marketing efforts and resident engagement initiatives.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience working in social or recreational programs in a healthcare setting
- Previous supervisory and/or management experience preferred
- Knowledgeable in evaluating residents’ needs and adjusting programming accordingly
- Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and staff
- Strong documentation and basic computer skills
- Respectful, patient, and professional manner in responding to concerns
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to represent the community positively and professionally
- Experience in training, staff development, and motivation
- Current valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass criminal background clearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, social work, or gerontology preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in social or recreational programs within a healthcare setting
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
- Skilled in evaluating resident needs and adapting programs
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with residents, family, and staff
- Experience in staff training and development
- Current and valid state driver’s license
- Ability to pass criminal background check
Job Duties
- Create and display a monthly calendar of events based on resident interest and current standards
- Provide an activities program seven days a week focused on resident life profiles
- Conduct programs including physical activities, creative expressions, cognitive stimulation, lifelong learning, social programs, outings, spiritual programs, and community involvement
- Establish and manage an Ambassador program to encourage resident participation
- Collaborate with Health Services Director to develop health and wellness programs
- Utilize Sagely software for calendar and newsletter creation and resident profile management
- Supervise programming staff including hiring, evaluation, and discipline
- Participate as part of the community management team assisting with various management duties
- Manage department budget and vendor documentation
- Assist with marketing and networking responsibilities within the senior community
- Facilitate monthly resident council meetings
- Train staff and maintain training records
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
- Foster family and community support through newsletters and events
- Provide new employee orientation on programming and aging sensitivity
- Participate in resident and family care conferences
- Ensure changes in resident conditions are observed and reported
- Maintain resident social history and profiles
- Support safe and respectful resident care
- Monitor compliance with OSHA and state regulations related to resident care
