Oakmont of Camarillo is a premier senior living community situated on a beautifully landscaped campus in Camarillo, California. The position available at Oakmont of Camarillo is for a full-time Activity Coordinator in the Memory Care unit, operating Tuesday through Saturday, with a competitive pay range from $21.00 to $22.00 per hour. The Activity Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life and independence of residents living in the Traditions Memory Care secured area. This role involves organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing a diverse array of activities and excursions designed specifically for residents with memory care needs. The coordinator collaborates closely with the Memory Care Director to maintain a stimulating, creative, and supportive social atmosphere. The activities include a variety of social, recreational, educational, and creative programs such as guest speaker events, movie showings, exercise sessions, clubs, games, art opportunities, and special events.
This position requires excellent communication skills, tact, and friendliness while interacting with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors. Ensuring a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests is a top priority, adhering strictly to established safety standards. The role also requires the ability to operate community vehicles for resident transportation and promote teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments. Proficiency in computer use and MS Office programs is necessary to efficiently manage scheduling and promotional tasks. Due to the nature of the health environment, Oakmont Management Group also mandates compliance with health and safety protocols including vaccination policies and the use of personal protective equipment to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prefer one year experience in senior activities coordination
- Current Class C driver's license required, Class B preferred for resident transport
- Proficiency with personal computers and MS Office
- Ability to maintain safety standards and follow protocols
- Compliance with health mandates including vaccination and PPE use as per company policy
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer at least one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors
- Requires a current Class C driver license, Class B preferred
- Proficient in MS Office programs including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate with tact and friendliness
- Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with health protocols
