The organization is dedicated to delivering specialized care and services to adults grappling with traumatic brain injuries, memory impairments, and various behavioral tendencies. Sapphire at Sweet Home emphasizes a higher staffing ratio compared to typical nursing homes, ensuring that each staff member has adequate time to build meaningful, personal connections with the residents. The commitment to quality care is further underpinned by ongoing staff training, tuition reimbursement programs, competitive wages, and generous incentives for employees. The company prides itself on fostering a respectful and considerate environment for residents, staff, and the surrounding community.

The Activity Assistant role at Sapphire Health Services is a full-time position centered on supporting the Activity department in enhancing the quality of life for residents through engaging, meaningful programming. The individual in this position plays a critical role in assisting with the daily planning and implementation of various activities designed to foster social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical engagement among residents. This includes facilitating group and individualized activities such as games, crafts, exercise sessions, and musical programs. The Activity Assistant is expected to promote resident participation, encourage inclusivity, and contribute positively to building a vibrant community atmosphere within the skilled nursing and assisted living environment. The role also involves supporting special events, holiday celebrations, community outings, and volunteer activities, effectively contributing to a lively and enriching resident experience.

Key responsibilities include setting up and clearing activity areas, assisting residents with mobility, maintaining current activity calendars, and documenting participation and engagement. Moreover, the position requires careful observation and reporting of any changes in residents’ moods, behavior, or engagement levels to the Activity Coordinator or nursing staff. The Activity Assistant is instrumental in ensuring a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment during all activities, thereby enhancing residents’ overall well-being and satisfaction. This role may require flexibility to support weekend, evening, and special programming as needed.

Sapphire Health Services offers numerous employee benefits including paid time off, 401(k) plans, medical, dental, and vision insurance, birthday and holiday pay, wellness and uniform funds, longevity bonuses, quarterly vacation drawings, and tuition reimbursement. The company is proud to have achieved a deficiency-free Department of Human Services survey in 2025, highlighting its dedication to maintaining high standards of care. As part of its mission, Sapphire Health Services strives to promote the highest quality of life for residents, staff, and the community by treating everyone with the utmost respect and consideration.
