Job Description

The Pennant Group, Inc. is a leading holding company that owns and operates a network of independent subsidiaries providing top-quality healthcare services across the United States, including home health, hospice agencies, and senior living communities. Each subsidiary within this expansive organization operates autonomously, with its own management and staff, ensuring personalized care and management tailored to meet local community needs. The company is committed to upholding the highest standards in healthcare and senior living, guided by its core values that emphasize respect, dignity, and compassionate care for all individuals. The Pennant Group and its subsidiaries foster a culture where employees are empowered to make a positive impact on the lives of the residents and clients they serve, creating a supportive, enriching environment for both residents and staff alike.

Within this dynamic healthcare and senior living environment, the role of Activities Assistant/Receptionist is pivotal for enhancing the quality of life of our senior residents. This position is ideally suited to individuals who are enthusiastic about engaging with seniors and who excel in fostering a vibrant, inclusive community. The Activities Assistant/Receptionist will work closely with the Activities Director in crafting and implementing a multi-faceted and diverse activities calendar that caters to all levels of care, encouraging resident individuality, engagement, and leadership. By assisting in leading activities, promoting participation, and supporting administrative functions, this role helps create a lively and supportive atmosphere which is critical in promoting emotional and social well-being among residents.

Ideal candidates for this position will demonstrate energy, creativity, strong communication skills, and empathy, all necessary to motivate and positively influence residents. This role not only requires interpersonal skills but also an understanding of the physical and emotional aspects of aging, enabling the assistant to tailor programs and interactions to meet varying resident needs effectively. Responsibilities also include maintaining daily calendars, managing sign-up sheets, ordering supplies, and occasionally transporting residents to community engagements. This position is perfect for someone passionate about making a genuine difference in the senior living community, fostering a sense of pride and participation among residents, and ensuring their environment remains dynamic and supportive. If you resonate deeply with values such as celebration, accountability, passion for learning, love one another, intelligent risk-taking, customer second (employee first), and ownership, then joining our team could be a fulfilling next step in your professional journey.
