The Glen Retirement System is a well-established senior living community dedicated to providing high-quality care and an enriching environment for its residents. Known for its commitment to fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere, The Glen strives to enhance the lives of seniors through exceptional customer service, compassionate care, and engaging programs designed to promote overall well-being. The community emphasizes a team-oriented approach where every staff member contributes to creating a nurturing home-like environment where residents feel valued and supported. The Glen offers full-time employment opportunities with benefits eligibility, highlighting its focus on attracting and retaining dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on seniors' lives.
The Resident Engagement Tech role at The Glen Retirement System is a vital position aimed at bringing joy, creativity, and meaningful connections to residents every day. This full-time, non-exempt position entails working approximately 40 hours per week, primarily during standard daytime shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some evening, weekend, and holiday hours as the community’s needs evolve. The Resident Engagement Tech is responsible for assisting in the implementation of engaging and diverse programs that enhance the social, spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual, and vocational well-being of residents.
Occupants of this role play a hands-on, energetic part within the community, making it perfect for individuals who enjoy staying active and interacting frequently with seniors. Responsibilities include facilitating both group and individualized activities, supporting community events and outings, and encouraging resident participation to build meaningful relationships. The Resident Engagement Tech also helps with hosting entertainment and special guests, maintaining attractive and inviting activity spaces, and managing attendance and event documentation. Additionally, this role requires transporting residents to appointments and outings when necessary, contributing to a dynamic and responsive environment where resident needs are met with care and enthusiasm.
The Glen Retirement System values compassionate, enthusiastic, and flexible personalities who bring a professional appearance and a positive attitude to the workplace. This role necessitates strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, as well as basic computer proficiency and a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a Chauffeur’s License. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 90 pounds, and comfortably sit, stand, or walk for extended periods in a high-energy, high-traffic environment. Compensation for this rewarding position is $16.00 per hour, reflecting the community’s commitment to recognizing the value of its team members.
More than just a job, The Glen is a community where employees can make a difference, exceed expectations, and feel like part of a family. Staff members are encouraged to go above and beyond in delivering quality care and exceptional service to residents who call The Glen home. The leadership team welcomes caring individuals ready to contribute to this active and nurturing environment, ensuring that the spirit of teamwork and dedication remains at the heart of every interaction. Prospective employees can apply through the Human Resources building during business hours or explore various current openings. Joining The Glen means becoming part of a team that prioritizes resident happiness, well-being, and continuous improvement, making it an excellent career opportunity for those passionate about senior care and engagement.
