Job Description

Christian Living Communities | Cappella Living Solutions is a respected provider of senior living services dedicated to enhancing the lives of our residents through compassionate care and engaging activities. As a company, we specialize in creating warm, supportive, and enriching environments that promote independence, dignity, and quality of life for older adults. Our communities are designed to foster a sense of belonging and connection among residents, their families, and staff members. We value diversity, teamwork, and a culture of respect that supports each individual's unique needs and aspirations. Our focus on comprehensive wellness includes physical, social, mental, and spiritual aspects, ensuring that every member feels valued and empowered in every stage of life.

The Activity Coordinator role at Christian Living Communities is an essential position responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of meaningful and diverse activities tailored to the individual interests and abilities of residents. The coordinator plays a vital part in promoting creative, physical, spiritual, social, and mental well-being by facilitating programs and personalized one-on-one interactions that inspire engagement and joy. Included in this role is coordinating small groups with similar interests, ensuring that residents have opportunities to connect and participate in activities that enhance their quality of life. This person supports program development by assisting with the writing, designing, distributing, and evaluating of a monthly life enrichment calendar, providing resources for activities, and maintaining necessary supplies and equipment.

An important responsibility is operating the community bus for scenic rides and group outings, which extends the enrichment opportunities beyond the facility and encourages social interaction and exploration. Supporting leadership functions, the Activity Coordinator may step in as Director in the absence of the program director and assist with administrative tasks such as timecard management, care conferences, and budget compliance. The role demands effective observation and communication skills to convey residents’ needs and responses to programs to appropriate staff members for continuous improvement in services and resident satisfaction. The position requires moderate physical effort, interacting with residents and families frequently, and being adaptable to frequent interruptions, illustrating the dynamic and rewarding environment of Christian Living Communities.

The role is ideal for an individual passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors through purposeful recreation and activity planning. Candidates will join a compassionate team dedicated to offering a welcoming atmosphere that nurtures the whole person. This position offers competitive compensation within the organization’s predetermined hiring salary range and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off. Christian Living Communities welcomes applicants committed to excellence in senior care and encourages those requiring accommodations during the interview process to communicate their needs. The Activity Coordinator position in Lakewood, CO represents an outstanding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors while growing professionally in a dedicated elder care environment.
