The Activity Coordinator role at Christian Living Communities | Cappella Living Solutions is a vital position responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of engaging life enrichment activities tailored to meet the unique interests and needs of each participant. This role plays a crucial part in promoting the residents' creative, physical, spiritual, social, and mental well-being through a mix of group and one-on-one activities. The coordinator also manages and facilitates small groups based on shared interests, ensuring that residents have ample opportunities to connect, learn, and enjoy their daily lives. In addition, the position includes administrative tasks such as helping to write and evaluate the monthly life enrichment calendar, handling inventory and supply needs, and assisting the Director with various operational duties.
The activity coordinator will also be responsible for driving the bus on scenic rides and outings, which adds an exciting dimension of adventure and fun to the residents’ programs. This aspect of the role requires a good driving record and the ability to manage small and large group transportation safely. Furthermore, the coordinator serves as the Director in their absence, which involves supporting various administrative functions like timecard administration, budget compliance, and care conferences. Communication is key in this role, as the coordinator must observe residents’ responses to activities and share pertinent information with appropriate staff to ensure the best possible care and engagement.

Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in recreational programming
- Colorado drivers license in good standing
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
- Ability to sit, stand, bend and move throughout the workday
- Capacity to interact frequently with residents, family members, and visitors
- Ability to work under frequent interruptions
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Activity Professional coursework preferred
- 1-2 years experience in recreational programming
- Colorado drivers license in good standing
- Ability to read, write and speak English

Job Duties
- Assists in writing, designing, distributing and evaluating the monthly life enrichment calendar
- Inventories, purchases and stocks supplies and equipment as needed
- Drives the bus for scenic rides and large and small group outings
- May serve on various committees as directed
- Serves as Director in Director's absence and may provide support in functions such as timecard administration, care conferences, and budget compliance
- Observes and communicates information to appropriate staff regarding residents needs, desires for, and responses to programs and activities
- Compiles data for reporting purposes and performs various clerical tasks
- Performs other duties as assigned
