Clarity Care carefully adheres to laws, regulations, and organizational policies to maintain the highest quality of care and services.\\n\\nCurrently, Clarity Care is seeking an Activities Coordinator to oversee Day Service programming at their Oshkosh and Green Bay locations. This role is instrumental in enhancing the quality of life of program participants through engaging, well-coordinated activities and effective program management. The Activities Coordinator will act as an active team member providing support not only to participants but also to staff members. Critical responsibilities include implementing the Chance events, managing program objectives, ensuring compliance with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) setting rules, and driving continuous quality improvement initiatives. This position requires strong leadership to create and oversee effective oversight systems for day programs, evaluate quality metrics monthly, and take corrective actions when necessary.\\n\\nFinancial stewardship is also a significant aspect of the role, involving prudent financial management of program budgets, record-keeping, and consumer account integrity. The Activities Coordinator ensures the physical environments meet safety standards and works proactively to address hazards. They are responsible for staff development evaluation and ensuring continuous education and training needs are met. In addition, the role requires coordination and facilitation of diverse events that address the wide-ranging interests and abilities of the people supported by Clarity Care. The successful candidate will be adept at organizing logistics such as food, beverages, music, decorations, volunteers, and photography to ensure memorable and safe events that foster community engagement. Strong interpersonal skills are vital for assessing customer fit for events, managing conflicts, and ensuring exceptional customer service experiences that promote ongoing participation. - experience in human services or related field may be considered
- three years’ experience in direct care services and the administration of adult day service programming caring for persons with disabilities preferred
- proficiency in Microsoft Suite Package including Excel Outlook Word
- excellent communication skills written and oral
- strong organizational skills
- must be at least 21 years of age
- must possess a valid WI driver’s license where required and ability to meet agency driving standards
- must pass a periodic WI caregiver background check including department of justice criminal record checks and or that of previous states of residence

Job Duties
- ensure that Clarity Care programs operate in compliance with laws regulations managed care organization contractual guidelines and organizational policy
- create and implement effective oversight systems for all programs supervised
- evaluate quality metrics and outcomes achieved by Clarity Care on a monthly basis and undertake corrective actions where findings dictate
- assess and evaluate staff development needs and ensure that all such needs are adequately and routinely addressed through utilization of internal and external training and education resources
- monitor physical plant and fire safety inspections and ensure all safety hazards are immediately addressed
- supervise the financial management affairs of the Day Service programming in a prudent manner with attention to fiscal forecasting standard accounting principles sound record keeping and integrity of consumer accounts and residence funds
- monitor vacancy and occupancy levels to achieve goals
- ensure full compliance with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) settings rules
- perform self-audits to ensure compliance
- assist with transporting program participants to and from the Day Service programming
- plan coordinate and facilitate events to provide opportunities which are broadly based meet customer needs and serve diverse interests and abilities
- arrange all Chance event activities to include but not limited to logistics food beverages decorations music staff volunteers photography and admission
- provide input feedback and event ideas to create long-term sustainability
- research and consult with customers to determine their interests suitability of events and attractiveness of offerings
- prepare and maintain registration database for all Chance events
- assess customers’ fit within each event to ensure a cohesive group and mitigate potential conflict
- provide a safe memorable and exceptional customer service experience which exceeds consumer expectations and promotes continued participation
- respond promptly and competently in emergency response situations
- assist escort and provide physical and other types of assistance needed by customers during events
