Job Description
Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village is Central Oregon's premier full-service retirement community located on the Westside of Bend. It is renowned for delivering five-star hospitality, exceptional services, and comprehensive amenities designed to enrich the lives of its residents and their families. Touchmark's dedication to excellence in senior living makes it a trusted and caring environment where older adults can live comfortably, safely, and engagingly. With its strong commitment to fostering a supportive, vibrant community, Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village offers a unique blend of luxury living and compassionate care tailored to meet the diverse needs of seniors.
The Life Enrichment Activities Coordinator role at Touchmark offers a remarkable opportunity for creative and compassionate individuals to make a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults. This position, which starts at $19.89 per hour depending on experience, operates on a casual employment status with variable hours, allowing flexibility in work schedules. The primary focus of this role is to assist in coordinating and implementing a diverse activities program that addresses the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents. This is a dynamic role requiring a person with a creative spirit, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
As a Life Enrichment Activities Coordinator, you will be instrumental in planning and facilitating various social events, outings, and exercise programs, ensuring residents enjoy a vibrant and enriched lifestyle. Your creativity will shine daily as you help organize celebrations like holidays and birthdays, recreational outings, and community engagement activities designed to foster connection and joy among residents. Furthermore, this role requires a compassionate presence, someone who understands the unique challenges faced by older adults, including those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and who can provide support and encouragement with patience and empathy.
The ideal candidate is dependable, personable, and a proactive go-getter who thrives in a collaborative team environment. This role demands reliability, a genuine interest in senior care, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding residents' personal and medical information. You will also need a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to safely escort residents to off-campus activities. While experience in a social or recreational activities program is preferred, Touchmark is willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm and aligns with their values of safety, compassion, and empathy.
Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village offers robust benefits including paid time off, access to retirement plans such as 401K, holiday double-time pay, and an innovative On-Demand Pay system, which allows employees to access their earnings as they accumulate. The company culture is welcoming and supportive, with a strong emphasis on employee appreciation and well-being. Working here means joining a growing community where your contributions are valued and your professional growth is supported. If you are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors and thrive in a positive, team-oriented environment, this position is an ideal match. Touchmark encourages interested candidates to explore this rewarding career opportunity and become part of a community dedicated to excellence in senior living.
