Job Description

Seven on Seventh is an affordable residential rental community situated in downtown Fort Lauderdale, dedicated to providing residents with safe, supportive, and inclusive housing. As part of Broward Partnership's commitment to assisting vulnerable populations, this community emphasizes resident well-being through various supportive services and engagement opportunities. The property is managed in collaboration with a contracted property management firm, ensuring that residents receive both quality housing and access to comprehensive social services. Broward Partnership is a respected agency known for its dedication to improving housing stability and overall quality of life for individuals and families experiencing housing challenges. Their holistic approach integrates housing, health, and supportive services tailored to meet diverse community needs. This part-time role offers a competitive hourly wage between $18.00 and $20.00, making it an appealing opportunity for those passionate about community service and social engagement.

The Activities Coordinator at Seven on Seventh plays a crucial role in fostering a vibrant and connected resident community. This position is dedicated to planning, organizing, and facilitating a wide range of onsite recreational, educational, wellness, and social activities designed to promote resident engagement and support housing stability. By using Motivational Interviewing techniques, the coordinator actively encourages resident participation and builds meaningful relationships that enhance social connection. The role involves working directly with residents to assess needs and interests, tailoring programs to cultivate a sense of belonging and empowerment among residents. Collaborating closely with the Director of Housing Services, housing teams, property management staff, and external partners, the Activities Coordinator ensures that programs align with resident goals and holistic well-being. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate data entry in electronic health records and other required systems to track demographic information and program outcomes, thereby supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This role extends beyond event coordination to include community outreach, conflict resolution, and providing supportive services in partnership with case managers for residents facing challenges related to homelessness, mental health, or substance use. The Activities Coordinator is also responsible for creating marketing materials to promote events, coordinating with volunteers and community partners, and ensuring compliance with agency policies and safety standards. This position requires a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach to service delivery and contributes significantly to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive living environment. Active engagement in the community, both on-campus and off, represents a key component of this role, allowing the coordinator to serve as a trusted liaison between residents and broader support networks. Overall, this position is ideal for individuals committed to making a positive impact on vulnerable populations through thoughtful program development and dedicated community support.
