Job Description

Our senior living community is a compassionate and vibrant establishment dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults. We provide a supportive environment where residents can thrive, remain active, and enjoy a high quality of life. Rooted in the core values of Celebration, Accountability, Passion for Learning, Love One Another, Intelligent Risk Taking, Customer Second (Employee First!), and Ownership, our community is more than just a place to live—it’s a nurturing home and a place to create meaningful connections. Our staff is united by these principles, which guide our interactions with residents, their families, and our broader community.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Activities Coordinator to join our team of devoted professionals. This role is central to our mission of fostering a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for our residents. The Activities Coordinator is tasked with planning, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive activities program that caters to all levels of care within our community. Working closely with the activities team, the coordinator develops daily and monthly calendars filled with diverse events and programs that promote resident individuality, encourage participation, and foster leadership opportunities.

Beyond organizing enjoyable and stimulating activities, the coordinator will build strong community partnerships to broaden resident engagement beyond the campus. This includes collaborating with local businesses and organizations to offer joint programming and providing opportunities for residents to volunteer and connect with the local community. The role also involves managing resources effectively by ensuring supplies are adequately stocked and coordinating transportation for residents to participate in off-site events.

This position is emotionally rewarding, offering the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of seniors every day. We are committed to supporting our staff with excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and more. Our ideal candidate will be energetic, personable, and creative, with strong communication skills and the ability to listen empathetically. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for candidates who hold a college degree in Recreation Therapy or Human Services or have two years of relevant experience. Experience in small group socialization, creative programming for older adults, and managing staff or volunteers is highly valued. Additionally, current CPR and first aid certification, as well as a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, are required for this role.

Working with us means joining a team that truly cares about making a difference, embracing our core values, and creating a warm, engaging, and supportive environment for seniors. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. Our parent company, The Pennant Group, Inc., supports a network of independent operating subsidiaries that provide healthcare and senior living services across the United States, each managed independently to deliver the best care and community experiences.
