The role of Vibrant Living Assistant at Brightview Senior Living is a dynamic and rewarding position focused on enhancing the daily lives of residents through creative and meaningful programming. Sometimes referred to as an Activities Assistant in other organizations, this position is highly valued at Brightview for its contribution to the vibrant community atmosphere. Employees in this role are pivotal in planning, coordinating, and implementing a variety of activities that address the spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural, and emotional well-being of seniors. Duties involve engaging with residents individually to understand their interests and preferences, then designing and facilitating programs that promote engagement and fulfillment.
Vibrant Living Assistants at Brightview play multiple roles including event planner, communicator, and activity leader. They are responsible for promoting upcoming events via social media, email, and newsletters, ensuring the community stays informed and excited about new activities. The position requires creativity and the ability to lead group activities such as games, art projects, music sessions, and social outings. Driving residents to events using a company vehicle is also part of the job for those 21 and over with a valid driver’s license. The role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.50 to $21.25, with the final offer depending on experience, qualifications, certifications, and community size. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience in activities or recreation support preferred
- must be 21 years or older for driving duties
- ability to work with elderly populations
- good communication skills
- reliable and punctual

Job Duties
- get to know the residents to help plan and implement spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural and emotional programming that engages residents
- promote and communicate upcoming community events and activities
- participate in activities such as games, painting, singing and music
- utilize social media, email and newsletters to showcase community events
- drive company vehicle to transport residents to and from events if over 21 and licensed
- help set up and break down events and activities
