Job Description

Our hiring establishment is a dedicated memory care facility committed to providing specialized care and support for elderly individuals living with dementia and related cognitive impairments. We strive to create a nurturing and safe environment where residents can enjoy a high quality of life through personalized care, therapeutic activities, and compassionate support. As a leader in memory care services, we emphasize respect, dignity, and individualized attention to meet the unique needs of each resident. Our facility employs a multidisciplinary team approach that integrates health care professionals, therapeutic recreation specialists, and caregiving staff to deliver holistic care tailored specifically for those affected by memory loss and cognitive decline.

The role of Life Enrichment Coordinator is pivotal in enriching the lives of our Memory Care residents. This position focuses on implementing a variety of engaging activities and therapeutic programs aimed at enhancing the social, mental, and physical well-being of those in our care. The Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for designing and delivering stimulating and meaningful experiences such as music therapy, sensory stimulation, reminiscence sessions, and crafts that support cognitive function and physical engagement. These activities are intended to foster emotional comfort, improve residents’ cognitive abilities, and maintain their physical skills in a safe and supportive setting.

This role requires close collaboration with care staff, families, and volunteers to develop individualized engagement plans based on each resident's interests, history, and cognitive levels. The coordinator also facilitates communication and education for staff and families regarding effective care strategies for individuals with dementia. Additionally, the Life Enrichment Coordinator ensures that activity spaces are inviting and adapted to reduce stressors for residents with memory impairments. While supervisory responsibilities are not included in this position, the coordinator plays a key role in supporting and training team members and volunteers to enhance resident participation and well-being.

This is a rewarding opportunity for compassionate individuals passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of elderly residents facing dementia. The ideal candidate will have relevant education or experience in recreational therapy, social work, gerontology, or related fields, coupled with a deep understanding of dementia’s progression and effects. Outstanding interpersonal skills, creativity in program development, and the ability to adapt to challenges are essential traits for success in this role. By joining our team as a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will contribute meaningfully to creating a warm, engaging, and supportive environment that maximizes the potential and quality of life for Memory Care residents.
