Job Description
iHeartMedia is the premier audio company in the United States, recognized for its vast reach and influence across the nation's audio landscape. As the number one audio company in America, iHeartMedia reaches 90 percent of Americans every month, which is double the audience size of any other audio company. This extensive audience surpasses almost three times the viewer base of the largest TV network and nearly four times the audience of the top ad-supported music streaming services. iHeartMedia operates across multiple platforms including broadcast radio, digital streaming, and podcasting, making it a leader in audio entertainment and advertising technology. It boasts more number one rated markets than its two nearest radio rivals combined, and holds the distinction of being the largest podcast publisher in the nation, with monthly downloads exceeding those of the second and third-largest podcast platforms combined. The company champions diversity and inclusivity, reflected in both its programming and workforce.
iHeartMedia also hosts some of the most notable live music events in the country such as the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the iHeartRadio Music Awards, and the iHeartCountry Festival, enhancing the connection between audio content and live, engaging experiences. The company maintains a dominant social media presence far exceeding other audio services, and it offers a comprehensive audio ad technology stack that integrates data, targeting, and attribution across all audio formats, thereby maximizing efficiency and impact for its clients.
This part-time position based in Minneapolis, MN, at 1600 Utica Avenue South, Suite 500, offers an hourly wage starting at $16.37 and represents a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team. The role focuses on supporting and executing a wide variety of local events and promotional activities that resonate with the station's brand and client objectives. These events range from community activations and concerts to live broadcasts, demanding a creative and organized individual who excels in event coordination, teamwork, and engaging with diverse audiences.
The position requires a candidate who can collaborate seamlessly with Sales, Programming, and Marketing teams to create integrated promotional campaigns that drive listener engagement and generate revenue. Responsibilities include managing logistics, overseeing venue setup, staffing, signage, giveaways, and technical needs, ensuring each event runs smoothly. As the on-site lead, you will embody the iHeartMedia spirit with professionalism and enthusiasm, fostering memorable interactions between the brand, its clients, and the community.
In addition to event coordination, the role involves maintaining promotional inventory, supporting digital and social media efforts by capturing and sharing engaging content, and tracking the success of events through attendance, engagement metrics, and client feedback. The position demands strong organizational skills, excellent communication capabilities, flexibility in working hours including evenings and weekends, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media tools. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential.
iHeartMedia values respect, collaboration, curiosity, and diversity, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive work environment. The company encourages applications from all qualified candidates, including those whose experiences may not perfectly match the job description. This role offers the chance to join a leader in the audio industry, contributing to exceptional events that bring audio content to life and connect communities nationwide.
