With a legacy spanning over 100 years as a family-owned global enterprise, Delaware North offers diverse career opportunities across sectors including sports, gaming, restaurants, hotels, and retail. Their commitment to creating exceptional experiences for guests and supporting employee growth makes them a notable employer in the hospitality industry. The company places strong emphasis on teamwork, innovation, and professional development, fostering a work environment built on respect, inclusion, and advancement. As part of the Delaware North team at Nationwide Arena, employees contribute to delivering memorable moments in a dynamic and iconic sports and entertainment setting.

The part-time Cook position at Delaware North Sportservice plays a crucial role in the culinary operations within Nationwide Arena. The primary responsibility involves food preparation in compliance with established portion sizes, quality standards, and safety policies to ensure guests receive outstanding food experiences. Duties include maintaining proper food temperatures, ensuring the freshness and quality of menu items, and correctly packaging products. The role also requires keeping workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked. Waste control is an essential part of the job, with cooks required to record food waste on spoilage sheets following company guidelines. Additionally, this position entails performing various opening, closing, and side work responsibilities including managing end-of-day inventory.

Ideal candidates for this role will have at least one year of prior experience working in a back-of-house food service position, possess the ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes, and demonstrate basic math skills for accurate recipe measurement calculations. While a high school diploma or GED is not mandatory, physical stamina is necessary as the role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching up to seven feet, bending, squatting, standing, and walking for the entire shift in a moderately noisy environment. The part-time Cook shift typically involves working evenings, weekends, and special events, providing flexibility for those balancing other commitments.

Delaware North values the personal and professional well-being of their employees and offers a comprehensive benefits package including weekly pay, training and development opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible work schedules. Eligible team members may also access health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company match, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental bonding leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement. This role provides an excellent opportunity to join a centuries-old company that merges tradition with contemporary hospitality practices in a lively sports and entertainment venue. If you are driven by quality, teamwork, and culinary excellence, this part-time Cook role at Nationwide Arena could be your next great career move.
