Power Construction is a reputable leader in the commercial, institutional, and infrastructure construction sectors, known for delivering projects that emphasize quality, safety, and durability. As a part of the TIC Power District and serving as an EPC contractor on various Entergy projects, this company is dedicated to fostering innovative power solutions that benefit communities for generations. With a commitment to excellence and continuous growth, Power Construction provides stable and dynamic work environments for its employees, allowing them to develop their careers in connection with meaningful and technically challenging projects.
The Quality Inspector position at Power Construction represents a vital role within the Quality Department, devoted to ensuring that all concrete materials, placement operations, and finished structures meet stringent quality standards. This full-time mid-level role involves proactive oversight of concrete production and construction activities to verify that all projects comply with organizational standards, contractual specifications, and American Concrete Institute (ACI) guidelines. The Quality Inspector acts as a critical interface among project teams, contributing expert evaluation of workmanship and materials to ensure the success and longevity of Power Construction's building ventures.
In this role, inspectors are responsible for conducting detailed inspections of concrete mixing, placement, consolidation, finishing, and curing processes. They are tasked with verifying batch consistency, material quality, and adherence to mixture ratios, while also reviewing and confirming concrete test results conducted by ACI certified technicians. Maintaining thorough and precise reports, photographs, and compliance records is a continuous responsibility that supports project accountability and quality assurance. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors is crucial as the Quality Inspector identifies defects and assists in identifying corrective actions, while supporting the implementation of best practices and quality standards across project teams.
The role also involves blueprint and plan reviews to ensure alignment with ACI standards, contributing to training initiatives related to inspection techniques and Power’s internal quality programs. This position is inherently mobile, with opportunities to work at various project locations based on ongoing development plans and team member skill sets. Power Construction values employees who bring a detail-oriented approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform independently within diverse and challenging environments.
Joining Power Construction as a Quality Inspector means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization that invests in its workforce, offering comprehensive benefits and a supportive work culture committed to professional growth, safety, and excellence in construction quality. The company’s dedication to employee well-being, paired with its industry-leading projects, make it an exciting and sustainable career choice for qualified inspection professionals.
