Currently, The Stella Hotel seeks to expand its team by hiring an Accounting Manager who will play a vital role in the hotel’s finance department. The Accounting Manager will assist the Area Director of Finance, helping maintain the financial integrity and performance of the hotel through meticulous accounting and financial control practices.

Job Requirements
- Relevant degree or certification in accounting or finance
- minimum 3 years experience in hotel or resort accounting or financial management
- strong knowledge of accounting principles
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications
- Proven track record in hotel or resort financial leadership
- experience in accounting within hospitality industry
- ability to produce and analyze financial statements
- knowledge of finance SOP manuals and compliance
- strong organizational and analytical skills
- familiarity with accounts receivable management
- experience with audit coordination
Job Duties
- Perform all accounting functions in the event assistance is needed
- effectively schedule, monitor, and evaluate departmental expenditures to stay within control systems
- assist in producing financial statements within designated time frame for distribution
- verify compliance with Finance SOP Manual
- participate in and critique asset inventories
- prepare and have knowledge of sales tax returns and other applicable tax liabilities
- manage and oversee all Accounts Receivable functions, including collection calls as needed
- ensure A/R aging percentages comply with SOP
- verify credit cards processed nightly by night audit
- verify cash deposits made timely
- assist Area Director of Finance with reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- review problem accounts and adjust entries
- coordinate month end closing
- prepare journal entries
- perform analytical review of financial statements
- coordinate annual internal/external audit processes
