Job Description
California Surveying & Drafting Supply (CSDS) is a leading provider in the geospatial, construction, and design data technology sector. Founded to help clients streamline their data capture and management processes, CSDS specializes in accelerating technology adoption within industries such as land surveying, civil engineering, and construction. With a commitment to delivering outstanding client experiences through innovative solutions and expert support, CSDS has built a reputation for transforming businesses by improving field-to-finish efficiency and boosting profitability. As a company, CSDS focuses on growth—not just for their clients but also for their employees, fostering a collaborative and dynamic workplace environment. They provide state-of-the-art land surveying hardware and software solutions to professionals across Orange County and adjacent regions from their base in Anaheim, California.
The role of Account Manager - Survey & Geospatial Equipment (Sales) within CSDS is crucial for driving the sales of advanced surveying and geospatial products. This full-time, remote position with an office located in Anaheim demands a motivated and experienced sales professional who can navigate complex solution sales in a highly technical industry. Reporting directly to the Survey Sales Manager, the Account Manager will be responsible for demonstrating, promoting, and selling high-end land surveying hardware and software products. The sales territory primarily includes Orange County and surrounding areas, providing a focused yet challenging region with numerous opportunities to engage key customers.
This position requires a proven track record in closing sales by effectively communicating the technical and financial benefits of the products offered. The successful candidate should be comfortable conducting detailed technical presentations and explaining the return on investment (ROI) associated with the Trimble surveying portfolio. Key responsibilities also include actively seeking new sales leads, developing meaningful relationships with end users, and expanding key vertical markets. The role includes extensive travel throughout the territory to ensure close contact with clients and requires participation in tradeshows and industry events to maintain visibility and relevance in the marketplace.
CSDS offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary commensurate with experience plus generous sales commissions. The on-target earnings for this position range from $120,000 to $140,000 annually. The company supports employees through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), company-paid 401K contributions, full medical and dental insurance with minimal employee contribution, vacation and sick leave accrual, paid holidays, and provision of a company vehicle, fuel card, phone, computer, and demonstration equipment. This role represents a permanent, full-time opportunity within a company deeply invested in its workforce and their professional growth. Join CSDS to contribute your sales expertise and grow within an industry-leading organization that values innovation, client success, and employee well-being.
