This position as an Account Manager within the Food & Beverage team is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growth-oriented segment of Ecolab. As an Account Manager, you will leverage your expertise in food, beverage, or dairy manufacturing or related technical sales to develop and nurture strong business relationships with customers. Your role is critical in helping clients meet their sanitation and safety objectives, while also driving operational efficiencies and product quality improvements.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of customer plant operations, regulatory requirements, and the ability to tailor sanitation programs and solutions that fit each client's unique needs. You will be responsible for providing expert consultation, troubleshooting issues, and guiding customers through the implementation of best practices. The position offers a flexible, independent work environment, where you can manage your own schedule and travel within a designated geographic territory. The compensation for this role ranges from $84,300 to $126,400 annually, including base pay plus performance-based incentives. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of experience in food, beverage or dairy processing/manufacturing environment OR 2 years of selling into manufacturing environments in technical sales
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Willingness and ability to work varying hours
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout a geographic territory
  • Reside within 50 miles of Portland, Oregon
  • No immigration sponsorship available

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of experience in food, beverage or dairy processing/manufacturing environment OR 2 years of selling into manufacturing environments in technical sales
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Willingness and ability to work varying hours
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout a geographic territory
  • BS/BA degree in dairy, food or agricultural science, engineering, chemistry, biology or related field preferred
  • General mechanical ability preferred
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills preferred
  • Desire to succeed in a competitive environment preferred
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently preferred
  • Strong follow-through and organizational skills preferred
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities preferred

Job Duties

  • Build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, plant operations, customer business objectives, and applicable government regulations
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations on Ecolab's innovative products, equipment and services
  • Provide industry expertise to customers in terms of sanitation, safety, quality and operations including assisting with sanitation plans and programs, standard operating procedures, evaluating processes and procedures, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies, and employee training
  • Develop strategic work plans for completing sales and service/consultation calls with new and existing customers
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of plant staff
  • build strong business relationships and networks
  • Manage Ecolab products and equipment
  • participate in equipment installations, observe and test equipment and product performance, repair or adjust equipment, adjust chemical concentration levels, monitor product inventory and place orders
