This job posting is for an Account Manager role within the CID Lines Animal Health Team, focusing on Eastern Wisconsin. The position is full-time and reports directly to the District Sales Manager, offering a highly independent working environment. The compensation ranges between $84,300 and $126,400 annually, including base pay and target incentives based on performance.
The Account Manager will be responsible for managing an established territory selling dairy farm products and services primarily aimed at improving milk quality and foot health of dairy herds. The role requires a significant level of technical sales expertise, a solid understanding of Ecolab's product portfolio, and the ability to deliver high-level service and consultation to large dairy farm clients either directly or through distributor networks.
This position entails working closely with customers in the dairy farming sector, providing consultation on sanitation, safety, and operational efficiencies including standard operating procedures and employee training. The Account Manager will also manage product inventories, participate in equipment installations, service and repair equipment, and monitor chemical concentrations to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Ideal candidates will have a background in dairy, food, agricultural sciences or related fields, or equivalent practical experience. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of industry sales experience, especially with large dairies, equipment sales, or technical sales in dairy agriculture. The flexibility to travel throughout the territory and a valid driver's license are essential.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years outside sales experience within dairy farm or agriculture industry
- valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- willingness and ability to travel throughout a geographic territory
- no immigration sponsorship available for this opportunity
Job Qualifications
- Degree in dairy, food, or agricultural science, engineering, chemistry, biology, or related field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-5 years experience in dairy farm equipment sales or service industries or technical sales into dairy farm businesses
- knowledge of sanitation and udder health needs of large progressive dairy farms
- demonstrated problem solving skills
- ability to take initiative and work independently
- strong follow-through and organizational skills
- ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
- willingness and ability to work off hours
- bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
Job Duties
- Responsible for supporting distributor sales efforts
- working directly with large dairy farms in the sales, service, and promotion of existing and new value-added products
- build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, customer business objectives, and applicable government regulations
- prepare and deliver sales presentations on Ecolab's products, equipment, and services
- provide industry expertise to customers including sanitation plans, safety, quality, operational efficiencies, and employee training
- develop strategic work plans for sales and service calls with new and existing customers
- manage Ecolab products and equipment including installations, performance testing, repairs, chemical adjustments, inventory monitoring, and order placement
