Job Description
Zen Educate is an innovative technology-driven company committed to revolutionizing the education recruitment landscape by effectively connecting schools with temporary educator staff. Operating at the intersection of education and technology, Zen Educate has developed a purpose-built platform that reduces costs for schools while enabling educators to earn more. Serving the US and UK markets, the company has achieved remarkable growth recently, doubling its business within the last year and successfully raising $37 million in Series B funding — the largest round in European EdTech last year. This substantial investment has positioned Zen Educate as a high-growth startup poised for rapid expansion and influence in education. The company fosters a culture of care, going the extra mile in onboarding, matching, and coaching dedicated educators who passionately support student development. Employees thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment built on positivity, grit, empathy, and a strong work ethic.
The role of US School Partnerships and Educator Manager is a dynamic, fast-paced full-time position located in Los Angeles with a hybrid working model requiring 3-4 days in office. Offering total on-target earnings of $75,800 plus share options, the role reports directly to the Customer Growth Manager. This position requires an equal blend of relationship building, strategic thinking, and urgent action to serve both school partners and educators effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of US school partnerships to enhance the demand for Zen educators including teachers and paraprofessionals. This includes cultivating deep, meaningful relationships with school stakeholders, upselling Zen’s products and services to expand its impact, and reporting key trends and feedback for platform improvements.
Simultaneously, the role offers robust support to educators by maintaining daily communication to place them in suitable temporary or long-term teaching roles, providing constant feedback, solving issues, and coaching educators to enhance their school performance. Zen Educate seeks candidates with a passion for positive social impact in education, a growth mindset characterized by coachability, grit, positivity, strong work ethic, and empathy. Ideal applicants may come from diverse backgrounds such as sales, partnerships, recruitment, account management, or, indeed, education itself, including new graduates or experienced professionals eager to join a pioneering startup.
As the business scales, this career path presents exceptional growth opportunities, enabling individuals to develop expertise in account management, sales, partnerships, and operations, while working closely with a world-class product and tech team. With a positive team culture emphasizing collaboration and high energy, Zen Educate supports professional development and diverse career trajectories into leadership, product management, or expanded sales roles. The company is also deeply committed to diversity and inclusion, encouraging applicants from diverse backgrounds and offering an inclusive, supportive workplace.
