Job Description
Shaw Contract is recognized globally as a design leader in commercial flooring, catering to some of the world’s most creative and innovative environments. With a vast and sustainable range of product offerings, Shaw Contract serves a wide array of markets including workplace, healthcare, hospitality, education, and multi-family dwellings. These offerings support the spaces where people work, learn, live, play, and heal, making Shaw Contract an integral part of commercial interiors that combine style, functionality, and sustainability. As a part of the Shaw Industries family, the company is committed to providing flooring solutions that are not only high quality and durable but also environmentally responsible. Their dedication to innovation and design excellence positions Shaw Contract as a trusted partner across diverse industries globally.
The Account Executive role within Shaw Contract is a pivotal position responsible for driving commercial flooring sales in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming regions. This employment opportunity focuses on corporate workplace, institutional sectors including education, healthcare, senior living, government, and the multifamily market segment. The role demands a candidate with strong prospecting abilities, a robust skillset in business development, and proven experience in generating new opportunities that contribute to sustained growth. Success in this position requires adherence to a structured sales process, known as SPPM, which facilitates qualifying prospects, advancing sales opportunities, and ultimately bringing new business to the company.
An Account Executive at Shaw Contract works closely with architects, designers, business owners, and contractors to deliver flooring solutions that meet specified design criteria, budget limitations, and project timeframes. This role involves extensive daily travel within an assigned territory to maintain relationships with existing customers and actively prospect new clients. The professional manages every stage of the sales project — from identifying opportunities and making product selections to placing orders, tracking deliveries, overseeing installations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through follow-up processes. Comfortable operating both independently and as a part of a team, the Account Executive must also be proficient in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools like Salesforce.com to manage client interactions and sales pipelines effectively.
An ideal candidate embodies strong communication skills and a flexible, personable approach that allows them to engage effectively with a diverse group of customers. The position requires delivering presentations to educate architects, designers, and end-users about the benefits Shaw Contract provides to their projects. Moreover, successful individuals build trusting relationships and influence others to support company growth initiatives. Benefits of joining Shaw Contract include competitive compensation, comprehensive health insurance plans, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, retirement plans, and unique perks such as adoption assistance and employee product discounts. This role presents an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about commercial interiors and flooring solutions to contribute to an innovative industry leader’s success while advancing their career in a dynamic sales environment.
