This Account Executive position, based in Dallas, Texas, invites dynamic and motivated professionals to join Pace Analytical's sales team. The role focuses on promoting and selling the company’s extensive testing and analytical services within the Dallas market, leveraging existing customer relationships while pursuing new business opportunities. As a full-time position with a Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule, the Account Executive will play a crucial role in increasing market share and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, capable of navigating complex sales environments and developing tailored solutions that meet customer needs.

The Account Executive will be responsible for driving both new business development and growth within current accounts, requiring a solid understanding of sales techniques, pricing negotiations, and service agreements. This role will involve visiting customer sites to evaluate their analytical needs, preparing proposals and bids, and managing sales processes through automated systems to maintain accurate records. Additionally, the Account Executive will analyze sales data and market trends to provide valuable insights to both customers and management, ensuring a data-driven approach to growth.

Working closely with different teams within Pace Analytical, the Account Executive will also support cross-functional projects and contribute to a collaborative, positive work environment that aligns with the company’s mission. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within the territory are essential to fulfilling the duties of this position. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in business, chemistry, operations, or related fields, along with at least two years of experience in customer-facing roles or sales support.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, chemistry, operations, or related field
  • Two years of customer-facing or support experience including work with complex programs or operations
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in an office setting and use standard office equipment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds
  • Vision to read printed materials and computer screens
  • Hearing and verbal communication skills for in-person and telephone interactions

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of customer-facing or support experience including work with complex programs or operations
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of effective sales and account management
  • Understanding of sales program administration, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to resolve customer issues and sales-related challenges
  • Familiarity with applicable sales laws, regulations, and compliance standards
  • Understanding of testing services, equipment, and processes
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications related to sales and customer management
  • Effective communication skills and professional business English
  • Experience performing professional-level sales activities across multiple accounts and markets
  • Ability to manage and support sales functions and initiatives
  • Experience training and supporting others on sales processes and procedures
  • Ability to contribute to project planning and execution
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Skills in preparing reports, proposals, and business correspondence
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, tact, and discretion
  • Capable of delivering effective presentations
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer and internal relationships

Job Duties

  • Increase market share through new business development and expand wallet share within existing accounts in the assigned territory
  • Visit customer locations to evaluate needs and promote services
  • Maintain accurate customer records using automated systems
  • Negotiate pricing, terms of sale, and service agreements
  • Prepare quotes and bid specifications
  • Engage prospective and existing customers to identify how products and services meet their needs
  • Provide analysis, interpretation, and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders regarding sales policies, programs, and practices
