The Account Executive role at Shamrock Foods Company is a pivotal sales position aimed at maximizing profitable sales growth by regularly representing Shamrock products and services to potential and existing customers. This role operates on a commission basis and focuses on face-to-face interactions with clients in the foodservice industry, specifically targeting restaurants, resorts, hotels, and other institutional customers. The position requires exemplary relationship-building skills to grow the customer base and enhance the company’s market presence.

The Account Executive will be responsible for prospecting new customers, maintaining and increasing the share of business with current clients, and supporting customers’ success through various initiatives such as menu engineering, food cost analysis, and market trend identification. Additionally, the role involves conducting product demonstrations, facilitating customer-centric capabilities presentations, and sharing new product innovations using Shamrock’s resources. Building multi-level relationships within the customer organizations, optimizing sales and service delivery, and leveraging technology to improve customer efficiency are critical components of the role.

Candidates are expected to be flexible, willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with comfort in using technology for data analysis. Bilingual English-Spanish skills are preferred to better serve Shamrock’s diverse customer base.

Starting compensation ranges from $40,000 to $100,000 annually based on performance, with the role eventually transitioning to commission-based earnings. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma and/or GED required
  • Must have 2 plus years' experience in culinary, restaurant operations, or foodservice
  • Previous sales experience is preferred
  • Must hold a current driver license
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
  • Be comfortable with technology and data analysis
  • Stay knowledgeable on industry trends
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be flexible to work varying hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • English-Spanish bilingual language skills preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma and/or GED required
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree a plus
  • 2 plus years' experience in culinary, restaurant operations, foodservice, or related experience preferred
  • Previous successful sales experience a plus
  • Current driver license required
  • Demonstrated expertise in problem solving

  • Knowledgeable on industry trends
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prospect new customers and build a territory to grow the customer base
  • Maintain current customer base and grow the share of the customer's business
  • Support customer success through menu engineering and food cost analysis
  • Consume and share market intelligence and industry trends
  • Conduct product demonstrations and comparisons by delivering sample products to customer locations
  • Facilitate demonstrations of company capabilities to support customers
  • Share new product innovations through utilization of Shamrock resources
  • Build multi-level relationships in the businesses you serve
  • Keep accounts current by optimizing sales, service, and delivery and collecting past-due balances
  • Leverage technology to improve customer efficiency and enhance the customer experience
  • Participate in ongoing training to continuously develop skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned
