Job Description

The Sous Chef, Japanese Cuisine, plays a critical role in assisting the Executive Chef in designing and preparing authentic Japanese meals specifically tailored for airline customers. This position is responsible for providing culinary expertise in traditional and modern Japanese cuisine while promoting quality food services. The Sous Chef ensures all food safety and sanitation regulations are strictly adhered to, maintaining the highest hygienic standards throughout the preparation and production processes. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef leads the culinary team, including Food Supervisors, to drive excellence in food production, optimize kitchen operations, and deliver outstanding meal experiences. This role requires strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for Japanese culinary arts. The annual salary ranges from $80,000 to $90,000, reflecting the specialized expertise and responsibility required in this position.
