Job Description

EventEQ is a premier provider of audiovisual and event technology solutions, specializing in corporate meetings, conferences, live productions, and special events across the United States. Based in Columbia, Maryland, EventEQ operates as part of the larger Entertainment Technology Partners (ETP) group, known for its innovation, cutting-edge technology, and commitment to top-tier service excellence. With a focus on creating memorable and engaging event experiences, EventEQ serves a diverse client base, including multinational corporations, non-profits, and event planners seeking reliable and creative audiovisual support. As a company, EventEQ prides itself on fostering a collaborative environment where creativity, professionalism, and operational excellence are paramount in delivering seamless event productions.

The role of Account Associate at EventEQ presents an excellent opportunity for driven individuals passionate about live events and audiovisual technology. This full-time position, located in Columbia, Maryland, offers a competitive salary range between $45,189 and $54,444 per year, plus commission, depending on experience and qualifications. In this dynamic position, you will play a vital role in supporting event planning, proposal development, client communication, and onsite event execution, working alongside Account Executives and Project Managers to ensure that every aspect of an event meets client expectations.

As an Account Associate, you will be responsible for managing client inquiries, gathering detailed event information such as requirements, budgets, venues, timelines, and technical needs. You will coordinate proposals by collaborating with internal teams to prepare, review, and distribute all necessary event documentation. Your coordination duties extend to event logistics, including managing venue requirements, equipment, labor needs, and event schedules to ensure flawless delivery. Building and maintaining strong client relationships is central to this role, requiring clear communication and responsiveness to client updates and changes throughout the planning and production process.

This position also includes equipment coordination responsibilities, partnering with logistics teams to confirm availability and oversee substitutions or cross-rentals. Prior to event shipment, you will verify equipment packages to guarantee readiness and accuracy. Administrative support will include assisting with contract execution, deposit coordination, invoicing, and tracking payments, which are crucial to smooth financial operations. On the ground, the Account Associate supports onsite event management activities such as installation, operation, strike, and labor coordination to adapt to operational adjustments when needed.

In addition to direct event support, you will prepare final event documentation, including labor summaries and equipment details, which are essential for accurate and timely billing. Post-event, following up with clients to ensure satisfaction, resolve any issues, and nurture long-term relationships will be part of your ongoing responsibilities. This role offers a fast-paced, rewarding environment for those eager to develop expertise in event management, client relations, and audiovisual production technology.

Joining EventEQ means becoming part of a team that values career growth, innovation, and a collaborative culture. The company provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid time off. EventEQ is also committed to diversity and inclusion, operating as a tobacco-free and drug-free workplace and adhering to equal opportunity employment practices and federal leave laws. If you are organized, client-focused, and enthusiastic about helping create extraordinary events, EventEQ invites you to apply and take your career beyond technology.
