Job Description
Six Flags is a premier entertainment company renowned for its thrilling amusement parks and resorts across the United States. With a commitment to providing guests with exceptional experiences, Six Flags combines world-class attractions with superior hospitality services. Among their diverse offerings, accommodating guests in clean, comfortable lodging is essential for ensuring memorable stays. The company values safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction above all, striving to maintain high standards of service in every corner of its operations.
The role of Accommodations Housekeeper at Six Flags plays a vital part in the guest experience, as this position is responsible for ensuring all guest accommodations, including hotel rooms, cabins, and RV units, are meticulously cleaned and prepared for new arrivals. Known as the "behind-the-scenes hero," the Accommodations Housekeeper ensures that each room smells fresh, looks spotless, and meets the company’s "check-in ready" standards. This role requires attention to detail, physical endurance, and a positive attitude. Housekeepers not only perform detailed cleaning tasks but also restock linens and amenities, manage housekeeping supplies, and communicate effectively with guests and maintenance staff.
Working as an Accommodations Housekeeper requires a commitment to high-quality cleaning and sanitization procedures to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. This includes scrubbing and vacuuming guest units, laundering and remaking beds, cleaning kitchenettes and bathrooms, and disposing of waste properly. The housekeeper will also be expected to manage housekeeping carts efficiently and provide courteous guest service when assisting with basic requests such as extra pillows or towels. Additionally, part of the role involves identifying any maintenance issues such as leaky faucets or broken lights and reporting them promptly to the maintenance team to ensure swift resolution.
This position requires no prior cleaning or housekeeping experience, as comprehensive paid training is provided. However, candidates must demonstrate physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, and lift or carry loads up to 25-50 pounds. Flexibility in scheduling is also important, as housekeepers must be available to work mornings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during peak check-in and check-out times. For campground housekeeping positions, the ability to operate a golf cart is also necessary, requiring a valid driver’s license.
Overall, the Accommodations Housekeeper is a crucial team member dedicated to ensuring guest units are immaculate and inviting, thereby enhancing the overall guest experience and upholding Six Flags’ reputation for excellence in hospitality and guest services.
