Job Description
The AC and Residence Inn Dallas Frisco represents a unique hospitality experience by combining two renowned hotel brands under one roof. This property caters to a diverse clientele including business travelers, sports teams, and event attendees due to its prime location within walking distance to The Star, a major sports and entertainment district, and a variety of dining options. The hotels collectively offer 300 modern guest rooms and a variety of thoughtfully designed social and meeting spaces. Guests at these properties enjoy amenities such as a licensed Starbucks store for coffee lovers, an AC Lounge featuring craft cocktails, and vibrant meeting areas that encourage networking and relaxation. This fast-paced environment nurtures teamwork and cross-training opportunities, supporting employees in mastering competencies across both brands, bridging the gap between Select Service and Full Service hospitality. The hotel's culture emphasizes creating warm memories and energizing connections with guests and teammates alike, ensuring an enjoyable and dynamic work atmosphere.
As a Food Runner at this independent restaurant affiliated with the hotel complex, you become an essential part of delivering an exceptional dining experience to the guests. This full-time role requires a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. The Food Runner acts as the vital link between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring that food orders are executed and delivered promptly and presented perfectly. Responsibilities include engaging with guests by addressing them by name, assisting servers with menu presentation and suggestions, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the service areas. You will be expected to monitor and replenish supplies, assist in managing kitchen and café areas, and relay timing and order updates between the kitchen and service staff. Strong multitasking and communication skills are crucial, along with physical capability to perform duties such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods. The position also demands a professional appearance and the capacity to work in varying outdoor conditions.
This role offers a competitive benefits package following an initial qualification period. Benefits include daily pay options, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability and life insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. Furthermore, those hired will enjoy opportunities for career growth and cross-training within a collaborative and supportive team environment. The commitment to quality service and guest satisfaction at this venue makes this Food Runner position a critical contribution to the overall hospitality experience.
