The role primarily focuses on overseeing day-to-day hotel operations with a strong emphasis on beverage and food services, ensuring adherence to the high standards of AHC Hospitality as well as AC Hotel by Marriott brand standards.
In this role, the successful candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record in delivering exceptional guest service, building and leading teams, managing budgets, and demonstrating financial acumen through working knowledge of profit and loss statements and cost/inventory controls. The position entails maintaining excellence in guest service within food and beverage departments while also supervising front office, guest services, parking, housekeeping, laundry, and engineering functions. The candidate must understand and embrace the mission, vision, and corporate culture of both AHC Hospitality and the Marriott brand, fostering a workplace that promotes equity, satisfaction, and business success.
Daily responsibilities include visually inspecting the property to ensure cleanliness and quality, participating actively in budgeting, forecasting, and profit maximization, managing vendor relationships to secure quality products and services, and monitoring labor costs within budget. The role requires strong leadership skills to coach teams effectively in managing occupancy, wages, and controllable expenses. There is a clear emphasis on creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for both guests and associates.
Additionally, the role involves ongoing participation in brand training and compliance with health department specifications, safety certifications, and operational guidelines, including ServSafe, Allergen, and Alcohol Safety certifications. The candidate will be expected to address service issues creatively, work collaboratively with other AHC Hospitality properties, and maintain an active connection with the local market, including demand trends and competitor analysis.

Job Requirements
- Minimum three years related hospitality management experience
- Four-year degree preferred
- Two or more years in role of department manager preferred
- Previous experience in branded hotels
- Serve Safe certification and alcohol safety trained
- Ability to deliver exceptional guest service
- Leadership and team building skills
- Working knowledge of profit and loss statements and inventory control
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Duties
- Ensure excellence in guest service while overseeing all beverage and food operations as the primary function of the role in addition to maintaining professional oversight within front office, guest services, parking, housekeeping, laundry, and engineering functions
- Understand the mission, vision, and game plan of AHC Hospitality, along with the Marriott and AC Hotels brands
- Create and sustain a work environment that embraces AHC Hospitality and AC by Marriott brand cultures
- ensure fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success
- Tour and visually inspect property on a daily basis to monitor cleanliness and quality of product and service throughout hotel
- Conduct, under the guidance of the General Manager, functions such as interviewing, hiring, employee orientation, performance appraisals and coaching to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity
- Represent company to local businesses, colleges, government, and other trades
- be an ambassador to the local community focusing on continuous and consistent corporate social responsibility efforts
- Use standard software applications and hotel systems
- Participate actively in budgeting, forecasting and profit maximization, including writing and reviewing reports such as profit and loss statements, yield management and capital planning
- Work on solid relationships with all vendors to ensure the best products and services
- Provide exceptional customer service making guests’ stay comfortable and accommodating while achieving team and brand goals
- Achieve and maintain optimal brand awareness and elite guest service, inspection, and loyalty brand scores

- Ensure property is a safe and secure facility for guests and associates
- Orientate and train associates per AC by Marriott guidelines
- Follow and maintain quality assurance and health department specifications and enforce with the staff
- Maintain recipe specifications and inspect kitchen, coolers, freezers, bar, and storage for proper product rotation and cleanliness
- Monitor all equipment and submit repair orders promptly
- Verify beverage and food logs and self-audits are accurate and up to date
- Monitor labor costs for kitchen and stewarding and assist with payroll
- Manage coverage for outlets with flexibility supporting team training and development
- Conduct daily affirmations or pre-shift meetings
- Stay current with required brand trainings, standards, and initiatives
- Maintain required certifications including ServSafe, Allergen, and Alcohol Safety certifications.
