The Flightline Mechanic A220 role at Airbus US Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama, is an essential position responsible for preparing built aircraft for test flights and delivery readiness. The Flightline Mechanic carries out Functional Test Procedure (FTP), as well as pre- and post-flight inspections to ensure the highest standards of aircraft safety and operational readiness. This includes operating, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and inspecting aircraft systems following approved aircraft data and protocols. The successful candidate will utilize a variety of test equipment and specialized tooling while interpreting technical manuals, engineering drawings, and data to carry out tasks accurately and efficiently. They must complete their work within allocated man-hour budgets while adhering to safety regulations, quality guidelines, and cost controls. Job Requirements
- 3 years minimum aviation experience preferably in an aviation manufacturing or repair environment
- Valid A&P license
- Valid driver license
- Must be willing to work rotation shift schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport which allows unrestricted travel to Canada
- High school diploma vocational tech school credential
- 3+ years experience in a flight-line environment under FAA EASA TCCA regulations
- A&P communication skills spoken written influencing proficiency in other languages
- Ability to understand remember and apply oral and or written instructions
- Ability to read understand and follow manual instructions to solve complex mechanical problems
- Basic operating computer skills email google data entry
- Technical systems proficiency capable of reading and interpreting approved aircraft diagrams charts schematics and maintenance procedures AMM IPC AWD SB CMM
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations regarding confined space entry respiratory protection proper use of personal PPE
- Ability to work under stressful conditions due to degree of responsibility
- Ability to perform work in confined space area height condition and outdoor environment
- Must be able to support and train other aircraft technicians with technical knowledge and skills
- Maintain close working relationship with assigned lead person regarding schedules priorities availability of parts supplies tools and special instructions
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Perform aircraft system final test procedure test FTP pre post flight checklist daily inspection DI prepare built aircraft for test flight readiness
- Ability to learn new tasks and techniques in troubleshoot aircraft systems and support flight line operation at Airbus FAL Mobile flight line organization
- Troubleshoot malfunctions rigs repairs replacement aircraft structures components and aircraft systems of moderate difficulty
- Maintain and rework aircraft components including landing gear flight surfaces controls anti-icing engines hydraulics pneumatics fuel systems ventilation heating and cooling systems mechanical cabin interior components
- Service repair and prepare documentation according to company procedure and specifications
- Perform post dock maintenance daily checklist safety and security incoming inspection
- Perform day to day planned and unplanned aircraft maintenance family
- Participate actively in the development and improvement of family system troubleshoot skills
