Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in bakery or customer service preferred
  • ability to follow instructions
  • available for flexible scheduling
  • able to stand for extended periods
  • good manual dexterity
  • ability to lift 30 lbs or more with appropriate equipment

  • Previous experience working in a bakery or customer service area is preferred

  • working knowledge of the baking process

Job Duties

  • Assist in preparing raw materials according to receipts or supervisor's instructions
  • assist with preparation of baking process including forming, cutting, shaping, and baking dough
  • combine measured ingredients using machinery
  • follow receipts to prepare drinks
  • ensure products have proper signage and are well-merchandised
  • unload and break down deliveries
  • arrange stockroom and stock shelves
  • refill products and rotate using FIFO method
  • monitor expiration dates and manage product ordering
  • wrap and pack items at customer request
  • maintain safe working environment and comply with safety codes
  • coordinate cleanliness and maintenance needs
  • control and safeguard department assets
  • handle expired and recalled products properly
  • conduct demos to promote sales
  • greet customers and provide excellent service
  • follow cash handling procedures and complete check-out accurately
  • perform other duties as needed
