The 99 Ranch Market Beaverton store is currently hiring a Bakery Clerk for both part-time and full-time employment. This role offers an hourly pay starting at $16.50, with the understanding that final compensation will consider factors such as the responsibilities of the job, education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The Bakery Clerk will play a vital role in the bakery department, assisting in all phases of bakery operations, from preparation and processing of baked goods to displaying and selling products. The position requires hands-on involvement in preparing dough, baking, merchandising, stock control, and customer service. The Bakery Clerk works closely with supervisors and the maintenance department to ensure bakery products meet company standards for quality and freshness, as well as adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines.

In this role, the clerk will assist in preparing raw materials according to recipes or supervisors' instructions, operate baking equipment for shaping and baking dough, and perform quality merchandising with proper signage to attract customers. Stock management responsibilities include unloading shipments, arranging stockrooms, refilling bread and pastry supplies, and applying the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principle to maintain product freshness and minimize waste. The Bakery Clerk will also be in charge of dumping expired or recalled products under instruction and efficiently utilizing materials. Customer service duties include greeting customers, responding to inquiries, and accurately packing bakery items at the request of customers.

This position also carries responsibilities related to asset control and loss prevention, ensuring company policies are followed. It requires someone who is flexible with scheduling to meet the operational needs of the department and is willing to work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a smooth and safe working environment. Given the physical demands of the job, applicants should be prepared to stand for extended periods, have good manual dexterity, and be able to lift up to 30 pounds safely with equipment.

Job Duties

  • Assist in preparing raw materials according to receipts or supervisor's instructions

  • unload and break down deliveries
  • arrange stockroom and stock shelves

  • wrap and pack items at customer request
