The San Jose store is currently hiring for the position of Bakery Clerk, a vital role within the bakery department. This role involves assisting in the preparation and processing of bakery items, including cutting, shaping, baking dough, and assembling products. The bakery clerk ensures that products are fresh, properly displayed, and well-stocked, utilizing First-In-First-Out inventory management to maintain product quality and safety. Additional responsibilities include handling deliveries, maintaining workplace safety and cleanliness, loss prevention, and providing exceptional customer service. Candidates will also assist with product demos and cashier duties as necessary.

This position offers both part-time and full-time employment opportunities with a starting pay of $20.00 per hour, though the final salary may vary based on experience, skills, and location. Job Duties

  • Assist in preparing raw materials according to receipts or supervisor instructions
  • prepare bakery items including forming, cutting, shaping, and baking dough
  • combine measured ingredients in machinery
  • follow receipts to prepare drinks
  • ensure products have proper signage and are well-merchandised
  • unload and break down deliveries
  • stock shelves and refill products using FIFO method
  • monitor expiration dates and handle dumping of expired products
  • wrap and pack items accurately for customers
  • maintain safe working environments and comply with safety regulations
  • coordinate cleanliness and maintenance needs
  • control and safeguard department assets
  • perform product demos to promote sales
