Known for its customer-centric approach, innovation in logistics, and commitment to safety, FedEx Freight plays a critical role in the supply chain industry, connecting businesses with reliable transportation solutions. The company emphasizes employee development, safety compliance, and operational excellence to uphold its reputational standards in the transportation sector.

The position available is a leadership role responsible for managing operations to ensure customer satisfaction by overseeing the timely movement of shipments without damage. This role entails leading, managing, educating, and developing company employees with a focus on retention and growth within the organization. The incumbent will supervise employee work including pre-shift meetings, ensuring outstanding quality, delivering customer commitments, and maintaining exemplary safety performance. Monitoring unsafe acts and conditions, taking corrective actions, and providing continuous feedback to employees are key elements of the role.

Monitoring service freight, ensuring cut time compliance, and analyzing opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements while maintaining safety standards are also important responsibilities. The position supports customer interactions such as assisting with rate quotes, claims, and appointment scheduling.

Performance data monitoring, building strong relationships with business partners, and ensuring proper handling of Freight moving at incorrect weights and classifications also form part of the role’s duties. Administrative functions and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies are mandatory requirements. The leader must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented dock environment exposed to varied weather conditions. This role is critical for aligning operational goals with customer expectations and company standards, ensuring a seamless workflow from beginning to end in the freight transportation process.
