This position involves leading and managing a team of employees to guarantee customer satisfaction by ensuring that all shipments are moved on time and without damage. The role requires supervision and direction of employees, including conducting pre-shift meetings with a focus on quality, customer deliverables, and safety performance. The incumbent will monitor and address unsafe acts and conditions, applying corrective actions immediately while providing feedback and follow-up. They will plan daily manpower requirements and set schedules to meet customer demands effectively. Communication and coordination with employees are essential to maintain clear and concise job assignments. Maintaining compliance with service freight cut times, controlling costs, improving efficiencies, and upholding safety standards are critical responsibilities. Additional duties include assisting customers with rate quotes, claims processing, appointment setting, data monitoring for reporting, building positive relationships with business partners, ensuring proper freight classification and OS&D handling, administrative tasks, and compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies. This role is vital in maintaining the high standards of FedEx Freight's service delivery and operational excellence. This is a dynamic role suited for someone with leadership capabilities, excellent organizational skills, and a strong safety orientation, ready to contribute to the company’s success while fostering employee development and retention.
