Job Description
Leidos is a recognized industry and technology leader delivering innovative solutions for government and commercial customers worldwide. With its headquarters in Reston, Virginia, Leidos employs approximately 47,000 people globally and reported an annual revenue of around $16.7 billion for the fiscal year ending January 3, 2025. Known for its commitment to smarter, more efficient digital transformations and mission-driven innovations, Leidos serves critical sectors including defense, intelligence, civil, and health markets. The company is deeply invested in advancing national security and technological advancement through strategic partnerships and robust project execution.
Currently, Leidos is seeking a dedicated and skilled Team Lead for its National Security Sector, based at the 497th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group (ISRG) located on Joint Base Langley Eustis (JBLE) in Virginia. This role is integral to a comprehensive Military Intelligence Program that supports the U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command’s (ACC) ISR mission. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about military intelligence and operational excellence to contribute to national defense through sophisticated intelligence solutions.
The Team Lead plays a pivotal role in furnishing analytic, operational, technical, and strategic planning support to ACC and its subordinate units to propel the modernization of the ISR Enterprise. Responsibilities include leading capability-based planning initiatives that involve critical documentation of operational needs and gaps and formulating recommended solutions to address them. The position demands executive-level analytical expertise to apply advanced principles, theories, and conceptual frameworks across a wide array of tasks including enterprise planning, deployment strategies, operational support, and technological enhancements. The incumbent will assess and identify both material and non-material solutions to elevate enterprise capabilities and analyze organizational structures, systems, and processes within the ISR Enterprise. This enables continuous improvement and innovation through technology upgrades, TTP development and modifications, and strategic investments.
In addition to technical and operational responsibilities, the Team Lead also undertakes essential management duties to support the Leidos Site Lead, including overseeing both Leidos and subcontractor team operations. This involves implementing leadership directives, providing professional and personal development guidance to subordinates, managing team scheduling, monitoring time reporting, and ensuring adherence to performance work statements related to the 497th ISRG mission and product deliverables. Upon selection, the candidate will complete the Leidos Manager Essentials Training as part of leadership development.
This role requires a candidate with a strong background in intelligence operations, particularly with experience in Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) operations and a comprehensive understanding of Air Force ISR policies, staffing functions, and operational protocols. A current Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance is essential, as is proficiency in communication and problem-solving skills. The position offers a competitive pay range of $73,450 to $132,775 annually, reflecting the importance and complexity of the role within the national security framework. Leidos also provides a comprehensive suite of benefits designed to support the well-being, growth, and financial security of its employees.
