Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a renowned leader in senior living, dedicated to providing exceptional service in a resort-style environment. With over 60 communities nationwide, RLC is a fast-growing, family-owned company that embraces a servant-hearted philosophy, driven by core values such as respect, honesty, kindness, compassion, and service excellence. The company's mission transcends typical employment - it is about making a genuine difference in the lives of seniors by fostering a close-knit and caring community. RLC prides itself on a supportive leadership team and a vibrant work environment where employees find joy and fulfillment in their roles.
The 3rd Shift Concierge at RLC is a pivotal role within the community, responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and smooth operation of the community during overnight hours. This position demands a proactive and dependable individual who can remain alert and focused throughout the shift from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, Thursday through Monday. The third shift concierge ensures that every overnight activity supports a thriving, secure, and inviting atmosphere for residents, guests, and staff.
The role involves a broad range of responsibilities, including maintaining exceptional cleanliness through tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and operating cleaning equipment. The concierge will also care for shared spaces and furnishings, refresh restrooms and the bistro area, and diligently sanitize high-touch surfaces to promote a healthy living environment.
Safety is of paramount importance; therefore, the concierge will monitor building systems including fire alarms, respond swiftly and calmly to emergencies, coordinate with emergency responders, and adhere to established protocols during fires or severe weather events. Administrative duties are integral to this role, requiring the handling of room service requests, sale of meal tickets, distribution of menus, scheduling transportation, and maintaining organized records to streamline community operations.
Supporting community engagement and operations, the concierge will proactively patrol the community to identify and report concerns, assist with event setups, and responsibly serve alcohol during community gatherings. Exceptional interpersonal skills are crucial to warmly greeting residents, families, and visitors, answering phone calls professionally, anticipating needs, and offering valet services with care and attention.
Candidates for this role should be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, capable of safely valet parking vehicles. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, complemented by prior customer service experience and a professional demeanor. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills, with adaptability to shifting priorities and a team-oriented approach. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of the local community are preferred.
RLC supports its full-time employees with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with employer match. This opportunity offers a meaningful, purpose-driven career path in a beautiful setting where every shift concludes with the community prepared for a successful day ahead. Join RLC to bring your servant heart to a role that truly makes a difference each day.
