Job Duties
- Champion corporate and division customer service programs
- Plan, organize and direct day-to-day bakery operations
- Conduct daily inspections for quality, safety and sanitation compliance
- Oversee baking, decorating, slicing and packaging processes
- Implement promotional and seasonal displays
- Manage inventory including ordering, receiving and stock rotation
- Supervise and train bakery department personnel
- Ensure compliance with retail labeling laws and food safety standards
- Handle customer relations and special orders
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in bakery areas
- Monitor and maintain records for sales, labor and inventory
- Attend required training and sales meetings
- Implement emergency procedures for equipment malfunctions
- Communicate sales goals and department performance to staff
- Resolve employee complaints and report to store director
