Job Description
Trane Technologies is a global leader in providing innovative climate solutions that prioritize sustainability, comfort, and efficiency for buildings, homes, and transportation. The company's commitment to sustainability is deeply ingrained in its business practices and brands, including the renowned Trane and Thermo King. With a bold mission to contribute to a better future, Trane Technologies offers visionary solutions that address the world's environmental challenges while delivering exceptional value to customers. The organization is dedicated to fostering a workplace where employees can thrive professionally and personally, supported by comprehensive benefits and a dynamic work culture. This role is onsite, reflecting the hands-on nature of leadership in manufacturing environments and highlighting the company's commitment to operational excellence and sustainability. The annual base salary for this position ranges from $108,236.66 to $151,479.99, with a salaried compensation type, and does not include incentive or sales commissions.
The Catalog Assembly Production Manager plays a critical role in managing operational performance within a defined area, placing a strategic emphasis on SQDIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity) results. This leadership position involves overseeing resource alignment and ensuring consistency across different shifts to promote operational stability and efficiency. The manager is accountable for identifying and eliminating barriers that impede performance, thereby empowering supervisors and their teams to function effectively. A key responsibility is to support the development and effectiveness of supervisors by providing coaching and leadership. The role requires reviewing performance data to detect trends and gaps and coordinating necessary resources to meet operational demands. The Production Manager also ensures alignment across shifts and adjacent work areas, conducts Leader Standard Work, and champions the principles of Daily Management Excellence (DME) to maintain a culture of continuous improvement and discipline. Importantly, this position does not involve managing daily containment activities, engaging in routine floor-level problem solving, or substituting for supervisor duties unless absolutely necessary. This emphasis enables the manager to focus on broader operational strategies and leadership development, ensuring the overall success and sustainability of the production environment. The role demands a steady, objective, and data-driven approach to leading a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing operation while championing team collaboration and performance improvement.
