The Hotel Host position at Hyatt Place is pivotal in ensuring these standards are met and exceeded. The Hotel Host is responsible for managing the entire guest experience which includes overseeing the Hotel Host Stand, the Bakery Café, the Guest Kitchen, the e-room, and the TV den. Additionally, the Host is involved in guest check-ins and check-outs, along with servicing meeting rooms to ensure smooth operations.

This role requires someone who genuinely appreciates high standards of excellence and can deliver helpful, welcoming, and exceptional service. The Hotel Host works collaboratively within a team environment to maintain a clean, comfortable, and inviting hotel atmosphere. Previous guest service experience, especially in hotels or related fields, is important as it equips the individual to handle various guest interactions effectively. Job Requirements

  • Schedule flexibility for both AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight minimum of 20 lbs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous guest service experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years or older

Job Qualifications

  • Customer service experience preferably in hotel or related field
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with guest interaction
  • Strong command of the English language including speaking, reading and writing
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills including Word and Excel
  • True desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

Job Duties

  • Manage the Hotel Host Stand and assist with guest check-in and check-out
  • Oversee the Bakery Café operations to ensure quality service
  • Maintain cleanliness and comfort in guest areas including the Guest Kitchen, e-room, and TV den
  • Serve and support guests during meetings and events
  • Communicate effectively with guests to provide helpful information and assistance
  • Handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with team members to uphold high service standards
