(2nd Shift) Custodian II - Health and Wellness Non-Store Operations

Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a highly specialized facility dedicated to processing and dispensing prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations across a designated region. Unlike traditional pharmacies, this facility harnesses advanced automation technologies to increase the speed and accuracy of prescription fulfillment. Central Fill Pharmacy is not patient-facing; instead, it plays a critical supportive role by allowing retail pharmacies additional capacity to focus on providing clinical services and enhancing patient education within their communities.

The Custodian position is a vital role within the Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy located in Litchfield Park, AZ, specifically on the 2nd shift team. This role is fundamental to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and organizational standards necessary for efficient pharmacy operations. The custodian ensures all areas of the facility — including offices, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, elevators, and parking lots — are kept in pristine condition. This extends to performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash and recycle bins, cleaning carpets and windows, and floor care including waxing and stripping. The role also involves cleaning electronic devices and fixtures like microwaves, air ducts, and ceiling tiles. Beyond cleaning, custodians assist with event setups, report any facility issues such as leaks and outages, and perform light maintenance when needed. Essential to the role is adhering to OSHA and all federal, state, and local health regulations for sanitizing and safety protocols. Personal protective equipment must be worn and all safety procedures strictly followed to maintain a safe work environment.

This position requires open availability with work hours flexible between 2:00 PM and 2:00 AM, scheduled five days a week totaling 40 hours. The team is required to work Monday through Friday with mandatory Sunday availability and the facility remains closed on Saturdays. The starting pay rate for this role is $15.20 per hour, with an additional shift differential of $2.00 per hour. Ideal candidates will have one to three years of custodial service experience or related background and fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred to effectively communicate within the team and support the facility's demographic needs.
