The role of Custodian at UG2 is essential to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments within various client locations. Reporting directly to a Janitorial Supervisor or Manager, the Custodian will perform a broad range of janitorial duties ensuring that all assigned buildings and related areas meet the company’s high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This position requires knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, dedication to customer service, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Custodians at UG2 are responsible for routine cleaning responsibilities including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors and stairs, sanitizing restrooms, cleaning break rooms, and restocking supplies. In addition to these tasks, custodians handle trash removal, dusting furniture, cleaning windows and sills, and maintaining janitorial equipment to ensure safety and operability.

The Custodian must also adhere to strict safety guidelines, including the proper use and labeling of chemicals and always wearing the correct personal protective equipment (PPE). Organizational skills are crucial as custodians must keep janitor closets and vending supply areas organized and safe. The role also involves collaboration and interaction with leaders, stakeholders, customers, visitors, and other employees to ensure a positive experience and uphold the company's service standards.

This position demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, sitting, walking, bending, and repetitive movements. The ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional interpersonal relationships is highly valued.
