The Concierge role at our hotel is an integral position designed to curate exceptional experiences for our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating incredible memories by offering insider knowledge on local events, attractions, and unique experiences tailored to individual guest preferences. This role requires a dynamic individual who can build and leverage local contacts to provide up-to-date information on things to do both within the hotel and in the surrounding area. The Concierge is expected to be well-versed in the latest Instagrammable spots, ensuring guests maximize their visit with memorable activities and visuals.

Aside from recommending attractions, the Concierge will maintain the Concierge lounge's appearance, making it an inviting space for guests. In addition, the role involves providing food and beverage services, ensuring drinks and dishes provided meet high standards of quality and presentation while complying with laws related to responsible alcohol serving. This position combines front-of-house hospitality skills with the ability to engage guests in ways that enhance their overall stay.

We seek an individual with a strong work ethic and self-motivation, previous experience as a Concierge or relevant knowledge of local events, and proven customer service skills characterized by creativity and resourcefulness. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with guests and team members. The role may require flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the 24/7 nature of hospitality services.

Physically, this position entails working in a standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, occasional standing and walking, and the ability to handle light lifting. The Concierge should have adept fine motor skills and excellent communication capabilities to participate in conversations and meetings comfortably. Job Requirements

  • High work ethic and self-initiative
  • Previous experience as a Concierge or prior experience with local events
  • Proven customer service skills including ability to be resourceful and creative
  • Strong business communication skills verbal and written
  • Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment
  • Prolonged sitting and computer use 6-8 hours a day
  • Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding, typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10-25 pounds as needed
  • Visual ability to read from computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings using phone or headset

Job Duties

  • Create incredible memories for guests
  • Building local contacts and be in the know on local area, including events happening in immediate and long term, to provide information to guests
  • Provide and recommend things to see and do in the hotel and local area, highly knowledgeable of all Instagrammable spots, stay up to date on services and attractions, able to influence and guide guests to amenities and services
  • Ensure Concierge lounge is inviting and clean
  • Provide food and beverage services to guests, ensuring food quality and presentation is appealing, mixing drinks for guests, complies with applicable laws and responsible alcohol service
