Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D is required
- One year clerical experience or equivalent involving public contact
- Must have a pleasant speaking voice
- Ability to handle difficult situations and interruptions courteously and professionally
- Must be able to communicate accurately and effectively verbally and in writing
- Must pass Michigan State Police Clearance check
- Must pass pre-employment 5-panel drug screen
- Hours between 0 to 19 per week with no guaranteed hours
- Ability to work relief shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- One year of clerical experience involving public contact
- Ability to handle difficult situations and interruptions professionally
- Clear and pleasant speaking voice
- Skilled in verbal and written communication
- Proficient in basic office procedures
- Familiarity with telephone switchboard operation preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Operate central switchboard, receiving and referring incoming calls to appropriate office, program or personnel
- Greet walk-in visitors and clients, provide routine information and direct them to proper location
- Handle difficult situations and numerous interruptions courteously and professionally
- Communicate accurately and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Carry out all activities of the program and sub-unit in alignment with CMHA-CEI's mission, policies and procedures
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming and organized reception area
- Support general administrative tasks as needed
